If the storm stays on the current track, it will be the worst storm to impact the Tampa area in over 100 years.
Per Denis Phillips: Unfortunately, this storm is the real deal. The one we always knew was possible, but dreaded even thinking about it. So, now is the time to act. You still have 1 1/2 days. Follow evacuation warnings. Make your final preps.
As a reminder, the Citrus County Landfill is open 24/7 until further notice to help residents remove debris and household materials before Hurricane Milton. Please be cautious when driving through debris pick-up zones on the west side of Highway 19, and also near the landfill because of heavy traffic congestion.

We encourage residents to prepare and take action NOW. There is still a 100-mile degree of error. Do not focus on the Tampa Bay area as the place of impact.
