Neighbors,
Golf Links, LLC is proposing 230 residential units in Cypress Village—threatening the character, safety, and environmental balance of our community. This scale of development doesn’t align with our infrastructure or the thoughtful planning that defines our neighborhood.
Cypress Village is part of Citrus County District 4, a district known for valuing responsible growth and environmental stewardship. We’re urging Commissioner Diana Finegan to honor that legacy and oppose this incompatible project.
We’re not against progress—we’re for smart, sustainable development that respects the voices of current residents. Let’s stand together to protect what makes Cypress Village special.
Here’s how you can help:
- Contact Commissioner Finegan and share your concerns. Email Commissioner Finegan at diana.finegan@citrusbocc.com or call her office at (352) 341-6424
- Spread the word to neighbors who may not be aware
- Attend upcoming meetings and stay engaged
Together, we can make a difference.

The clubhouse was excused feom our deed restrictions. So this also affect our neighborhood. I agree 100 ercent! Can you imagine the parking at Publix with the additional customers?
What do you mean “…was excused feom (sic) our deed restrictions?” What document do you know of that excuses them?
is this the same Scott Yates that was arrested for patronizing prostitutes?
If so, does he need to register as a sex offender?
Strongly suggest mentioning that we plan to request an objective state-sponsored environmental and drainage impact study. This will take into account significant changes in weather, hurricane patterns, and evacuation plans since the original community was designed. This might delay their ability to start construction for years, and will surely make them accountable at a higher level.
